Please review the end of the year policy for picking up and dropping off medications.
Medications for THIS year
ALL medications must be picked up from the clinic during regular school hours no later than June 14. This includes all prescription and non-prescription medicines. Any medication not picked up by June 14 will be disposed of per federal guidelines. If you are unable to come during this time period, please call Mrs. Peggy Williams, School Nurse, prior to June 13 to make other arrangements.)
Medication for NEXT year
Please be reminded that a new medication form needs to be completed for EACH school year for prescription medications. Written authorization from a parent/guardian will suffice for non-prescription drugs that will be given on a short-term basis (EX: something for cramps, dental issues etc.). If you would like to keep something at school for the entire year, it will be necessary to submit a medication form filled out and signed by your child’s doctor.
MEDICATIONS ARE NOT TO BE SENT TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR CHILD
Medications for the 2018-19 school year may be turned in to the school nurse between August 27-31. They MUST be accompanied by a medication form completed and signed by your doctor. If your child has asthma, a new Asthma Care Plan will also need to be completed.
If you have questions, please call Nurse Peggy Williams, 540- 372-1145
