Community Connections Night
October 18, 6-8pm
Fredericksburg City Public Schools Site – TBD
All organizations that serve the Fredericksburg community are invited to inform and excite scholars and their families around your cause. Please reserve a table at our open house event to solicit support for your organization or service. This opportunity provides a platform to educate others about your passion and may also recruit the help of our scholars, who will be embarking on their culminating projects. Come prepared to pitch suggestions that best support your work as students can use the information presented to select a project topic.
All students are tasked with a long-term project of their choice with four stages; investigating, planning, taking action and reflection. The 8th grade community project addresses a need in the community and can be direct or indirect service, advocacy or research. The 10th grade personal project is researching an inquiry question to produce an original work and can include service to purse an area of interest, communicate a new understanding, or change behavior.
Let’s connect, learn and make a greater impact!
